I have hired many charters for company events, family get-togethers, and outings, and Discovery Blue Ventures stands head and shoulders above the rest. First and foremost, Mick and his crew consistently deliver successful fishing trips. Whether you're targeting Mahi, Tuna, African Pompano, Swordfish, Grouper, Snapper, spearfishing, or lobstering, they set you up for success. Their deep knowledge of the fisheries and strong connections ensure they catch fish even on slow days when others don't. More importantly, they are a joy to be around—personable, great with kids, and engaging with any audience. Their passion for what they do is evident in every aspect of their charters. On numerous occasions, they have even joined us for dinner, taking us by boat to fantastic cook-your-catch spots on the water. Discovery's boat is impeccable, reflecting the pride they take in their business and the care they show for their vessels. Whenever we're in the Keys, they are our go-to charter, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone, regardless of experience level. This was my fourth trip with Discovery Blue, and Captain Mick and his crew continue to prove they are the best in the business. On this trip, we hooked into some giant African Pompano, along with numerous Tuna and Mahi. Mick and his crew are incredibly knowledgeable and consistently put us on the fish. I won’t ever use another charter.

Captain Mick and his first mate were excellent. We had a great time and caught some fantastic fish while we were out there. It was a very action-packed and fun day. I would strongly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity to get out on the water with such an awesome Captain! Thanks, Cap!

Discovery Blue Rocks!! Mick and his crew are truly the best. I've taken several trips with them and always come back with more than just great memories. They are extremely knowledgeable about ocean life and the local waters. Mick is one of the funniest captains I’ve ever met, making the trip as entertaining as it is productive. The fun and enjoyment of the journey rival the fishing experience itself. Personally, I wouldn’t charter with anyone other than Mick!

Whether you're a seasoned angler or a novice, Captain Mick patiently teaches you valuable skills, shares captivating stories of past adventures, and makes the entire journey incredibly educational and entertaining. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the hidden gems of the Florida Keys. Captain Mick knows the waters like the back of his hand and has a treasure trove of secret spots, wrecks, and fishing hotspots. We caught a wide variety of fish, including mahi, tuna, and mutton snapper, thanks to his exceptional knowledge and guidance. But it doesn't stop there! Captain Mick also ensures that his guests (if they're interested) have an opportunity to dive into the crystal-clear waters near the Marathon Lighthouse. The chance to snorkel and dive off the boat was an exhilarating experience that added a whole new dimension to our adventure. Exploring the underwater world and seeing the marine life up close was truly awe-inspiring. The crew members on the Discovery were equally fantastic. They were friendly, energetic, and their enthusiasm for fishing was contagious. When we had a successful catch, the boat would come alive with excitement and laughter. The atmosphere was electric, making the entire trip an absolute blast. Overall, I cannot recommend Captain Mick and the Discovery Charter Service enough. If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure in the Florida Keys, this is the charter service to choose. Captain Mick's expertise, the incredible fishing spots, the chance to dive into the pristine waters, and the lively crew all combine to create an experience like no other. Discovery Blue Ventures is an amazing fishing charter! I can't say enough good things about Captain Mick and his first mate. Mick is always prepared, even in the worst fishing conditions, and he consistently puts you on fish. Not only is he fun to be around, but you also come back with stories to tell for months. I'll never forget my first fishing trip with Captain Mick, even years later. Despite "sporty" conditions, the dolphins kept coming into the boat! We trolled, hooked up, tossed a fish line, hooked up again, pulled the first one in, threw another line, hooked up again, and so on. When the catching gets going, Mick and his first mate have a well-coordinated process to ensure we don't lose fish. They know this process inside and out. With Mick, I've caught dolphins, mutton snappers, African pompano, tuna, yellow fins, and cobia, but he's caught every fish you can find in the Florida Keys! Booking Captain Mick is a decision you won't regret. When I fish in the Keys, it's with Mick or not at all! Tight lines, everyone!

You couldn't ask for a better fishing experience; you always return with the fish you're after. Captain Ferrucci and his team are a class act, expertly locating various sought-after species. The Discovery and fishing equipment are top-notch, and I'm eagerly anticipating my next fantastic fishing adventure with them.

Mick and his crew are outstanding—professional and fun! We've gone on several trips with them, and each time they've put us on an abundance of fish, including tuna, mahi, grouper, snapper, and amberjack. We even caught a swordfish, which I now have mounted in my house. Mick is always willing to customize the trip to your needs, whether it's offshore, inshore, or reef fishing. Discovery Blue Ventures does it all, even taking you out for family snorkeling. Discovery Blue Ventures always delivers!

They skillfully balance providing assistance—such as baiting hooks or helping with casting for those less experienced—and giving space to let you handle the line independently. Their expertise and instructional skills shine, teaching the best techniques in a remarkably short time. It's clear that their work is driven by passion, not just duty. During our charter, we caught a variety of keepers, bringing home plenty of fish to share. They even filleted the fish for us and recommended local restaurants that would cook our fresh catch. Captain Mick and his crew provided an amazing experience, ideal for any group, including families. We will definitely be chartering with them again. Thank you!
